i forgot to ask a very important question to those science high school people
one time these science high school people came to my school and gave us advice on how to enter and survive in a science high school. the presentation was really cool, the school also seemed very cool, imagine being with a bunch of nerds in a building with a million labs and chances to research, and using both the human brain and ai to complete a very hard task, in high school. anyways i asked a bunch of questions to then after the presentation and almost missed lunch, they thought i wanted to go to a science high school (i would if i was interested in the natural sciences), but today i realized i forgot a very important question.
they said that if you're exploring math and suddenly get an interesting question, you should sit down and go on a rabbit hole for hours straight until you get an answer. but what do you do when you are one day behind in your math plan that will help you in school tests, but you have a very interesting question that you want to go rabbit holes on, except that would take away the three hours needed to do today's math task, so you would be two days behind now.
wow i shouldve gotten those people's phone numbers, they literally had it on the board the whole time
