i wanted to write a week review talking about studying from my test, near future plans (after the test), and just lil moments from my life taso mi sona ala e ni: toki seme la mi wile sitelen. talking about my studies la, korean would be epiku (what was that cool sounding word that meant 'very good'?) taso emotional rants and random funny moments la, english is VerGwd nanpa wan (VerGwd?i mean that's cool but there was another very english word that wasn't from v0tgil). taso mi wile sitelen kepeken toki pona kin. ni la, mi toki kepeken toki ale pi sona mi a! jan ala li sona e ni: the code-switching will 얼마나 자주 일어날지 because suli la it's based on pilin mi. anyways, mi o open
midterm (D-4)

monday(22): hospital visit + laziness (or maybe i wrote a blog post or KDH fanfiction?)
tuesday(23): 3-6pm: lazy / 6pm-: sleepy. but started working on the 힘의 작용 unit somewhere around 7pm, showered around 8:30pm. after taking a shower i got the feel to write a school newspaper article on toki pona so i did that.
wednesday(24): newspaper club1 + english hakwon. there was a decent amount of time to do stuff, idk what i did i probably wrote more of the fanfic or smth
thursday(25): worked a bit on the debate competition and article on toki pona. then i finished my baekji test2 on 태양계 (tho it was short compared to the other units, like a lot short. my focus can't go through an entire unit, so i better split it up into pieces, like 2차시 or smth) for some reason. and then i decided to recap my plan and set priorities for what to study first. (spoiler: it broke the very next day) also in this baekji i noticed some patterns in what i missed writing and i wrote that down.
friday(26): finished debate competition homework, did nothing before going to hakwon for the competition prep. at this point i texted ila that we should make a webring, and after debate prep class i was looking that up but the website i looked it up had a pink background which hurt my eyes (i noticed it was the background today) and i listened to a podcast on lexical aspect (never finished) and i read a little bit from my korean textbook. i was doing mainly social studies and science cuz they're mostly memorizing, and i know how to memorize things because that's the whole thing i've been doing for years for my english hakwon's monthly test! english and math la, i don't need extra prep. i have experience doing that thanks to my mom and math hakwon3, in fact i quit naeshin class at english hakwon! but korean. i've never studied for korean before. i was confused, and i still am.

as of writing this (2025-09-27), today my mom got me some questions from the 문제은행/question bank (i guess i'll figure out what that is) and i did science and korean. science la, mi sona e ale tan ni: tenpo mute la mi sitelen e ijo pi sona mi lon lipu li pana e namako pi sona ala. taso mi lukin ike e wile sona la mi pakala lili. toki Anku la, open pi tenpo suno ni la mi sitelen lili e ijo tan lipu mi. taso mi sona ala e ijo mute a! ken la mi o kepeken ni mute lon tenpo kama. taso, mi wile awen lon pilin ni: 개념 학습에 집중하기 위해 문제집은 가급적 늦게 (수학 제외하고 1주일 전, 수학은 다양한 문제를 빨리 푸는게 중요하기에) 이용한다.
문제집이 좋긴 하다, 특히 시험 직전에는 문제 유형을 확인할 수 있고 실제로 내가 어떻게 해서 문제를 틀리는지 (개념은 아는데 문제에 적용을 못한다던지, 문제나 선지를 제대로 안 읽었다던지, 맞는 선지를 찾았는데 표시를 잘못 한다던지) 알아서 그 부분을 고칠 수 있다. 국어는 문제 유형 자체가 나한테 생소하고4 수학은 학원에서처럼 여유롭게 풀고 틀린거 고치고 그런게 아니고 빨리 풀어야 한다. 영어는 공부 안해도 대강 어감 파워를 쓸수 있지만 (i love being a fluent speaker of english) 아주 가끔씩 애들 문제집을 훔쳐보며 혹시를 대비한다. 문제는 문제집으로 시험 대비하는게 너무 common하니까 '문제집 = studying for test and being productive' 이런게 있고 결국 본질적인 개념 암기보단 문제풀이에 집중하게 된다. 그래서 영어와 암기과목은 빨라도 1주 전, 수학이랑 국어는 2주 전부터 문제집을 풀어야 할 것 같다. (국어는 문제유형이 생소해도 결국 개념을 익혀야 하고 본문 분석도 해야 되니까) 글고 수업시간에 선생님이 강조했거나 시험에 안 나온다고 말했던 부분이 있고 시험에 도움되는 부분이 매우 많은데 문제집에 의존하면 그런거에 신경을 안 쓸 것 같다. 문제집이 없으면 수업 집중, 복습, 백지테스트, 자기 점검같은 내가 아는 방법을 죄다 동원해서 자기주도학습에 가까운걸 하게 된다.

- pali pi toki mi la, all words are nouns la sina wile pana e toki lili if you want to turn them into other parts of speech. taso i was struggling with verbs, and somehow got into lexical aspect (though i'm not sure of the connection, maybe there is maybe there isn't) but because of test prep i put it off for another time.
- i randomly talked to ila that we should start a blog challenge in our friend group. i've been thinking about that for a long time and ila was like 'cool we should defo do that' and she also asked me if i knew any way to have a shared blog so and kipisi the posts by writer. i had no idea abt that, but i told her we could connect our blogs by a webring and apparently ila didn't know what a webring was. but she said yes after i explained the concept. while looking up how to make a webring i found this site and wow this explains a lot of stuff i didn't know that made me give up on making my website from scratch on neocities and sticking for bearblog instead (though i like markdown better than html and i never liked coding anything in the first place, maybe i should make more of a general website with my other random creation that isn't my blog that gets updated about once a week or customize this one)

ok speaking of the newspaper club, they should totally make an online version of the school newspaper so people can see it on their phones or computers, like if you just print it out 1. the font is so small 2. there's only a limited amount of copies you make because of the cost and the teacher explicitly said he couldn't give me too many copies (i wanted to give them out to my favorite teachers). i think the teacher wants to make our work known, and there's so many ways to make an online version of the newspaper (blogs, websites etc. it's not even that hard. surely someone in the team knows how to code or at least use and customize a blog?)↩

'고등학교 영어 시험(모의고사 몇문제를 풀어봤다)이나 영어학원 MT (Monthly Test, 월말평가)랑 비슷하겠지?'라 생각했으나... 달라도 너무 달랐다. 고등학생이 하는 영어 모의고사보다 중1 국어지문이 훨씬 길고, 내용을 단순히 요약하는 걸 넘어 분석을 시킨다. 영어학원 MT도 지문을 외우고 팩트체크에 가까운 문제를 풀게 하는데 문제도 거의 선생님이 주신 30문제? 정도를 살짝 활용한 거여서 사실상 암기다.↩
