a lil rule for me
i've said multiple times on my blog that i have a goal of going to prestigous schools cuz that will motivate me to do stuff. however, sometimes it prevents me from doing stuff just by the thought that i have to do everything perfectly and that i have to be perfect by the time i apply to that school. the fact that whatever i am learning might not actually help my chances of going into a prestigious school keeping me from learning new things. the expectation to have a longterm goal, a good reason for it, and efforts towards it stressing me out and keeping me from exploring things freely and later potentially making a better longterm goal based on what i would have explored. but if i don't have the goal of going to those prestigious schools i will never try anything. so here's a lil rule for me:
if there's nothing else to do, never not do a thing just because it's not 'your thing'.
