me: (wait isn't bubble the app where kpop idols communicate with their fans? nvm i guess i know wrong) i just use email because we met through bearblog and most bearbloggers seem to email.
classmate 1: well i'm not allowed to know his email.
classmate 2: because he's a kpop idol.
me: ...oh that's why.
hagwon friend notices my notes from a youtube vid about category theory that i didn't understand
friend: wait you do uni level math?
me: uhhh no, i just watch math videos for fun.
friend: that's so cool! i only know 선형대수학. (note: the english parts of this convo was in english)
me: yeah i've heard of linear algebra, what's it about tho?
friend: it's about matrixes.
me: what's a matrix?
friend: what??? haven't you done 공수1?
me: i've done 공수1 but i don't know what a matrix is.
friend: 행렬.
me: ohhhh matrix meant 행렬? the word for 선형대수학 in english is linear algebra. so now we both learned a new word!
